Mata Ganga Khalsa College won gold, silver and bronze medals in state level competition

Mata Ganga Khalsa College participated in Senior and Junior State Level Weightlifting Competition held at Bada Village, District Jalandhar from 12/1 1/20 to 15/ 11 /2023 in which they won gold, silver and bronze medals. In this Simran PGDCA student won gold in 59 kg weight category, Simardeep Kaur BA class I student won silver in 64 kg weight category and Diksha Sharma MA political science part II student won bronze in 71 kg weight category. The name of the college is rushnaya. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Gagandeep Singh Ji congratulated the students.

Gatka team of Mata Ganga Khalsa College won bronze medal in inter college competition

Advocate Sardar Harjinder Singh Ji Dhami President Shiromani Gurdwara Managing Committee Shri Amritsar Sahib, the Gatka Team of Mata Ganga Khalsa College participated in the Inter College Competition held on 18/11 /2023 at Jhar Sahib College, Ludhiana. In which BCA students Prabh Kiran Kaur and Amanpreet Kaur won bronze medal not only made the college proud but also took the name of Shiromani Committee to the top.

One day trip of the students of Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Manji Sahib, Kota (under the arrangement of Shiromani Gurdwara Manjhi Committee, Shri Amritsar Sahib) Prof. Baljit Kaur (Political Ally), Dr. Kamaljit Rai (English Dept), Dr. Roopa Kaur (Punjabi Department) and Lake. Gurpreet Kaur Company. Under the leadership of Science) conducted at the Ajivikta Saras Fair at Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana. Around 35 children understood the finerities of artistry, handcraft and skill while fully enjoying this fair. The students drank. A. Also visited the U library and heritage museum.

Principal Dr of the college. Gagandeep Singh appreciating the importance of such educational tours inspired more long trips so that the students become aware of the surroundings as well.

Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Manji Sahib Kota Ludhiana, an organization running under the suggestion of Shri Amritsar Sahib, where students are also matured in ethical values along with worldly education. Gurmat events, lectures and seminars are conducted from time to time. Under the series of these works, on date 3-11-2023, the moral education paper of students was conducted with the cooperation of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle Ludhiana. College staff member Prof. at this occasion. Baljit Kaur , S. Harpinder Singh and lecturer Surinder Kaur were present.

ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਸ੍ਰ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਧਾਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਅਧੀਨ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਬੁਲੰਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੋਟਾਂ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਧਰਮਸ਼ਾਲਾ, ਨਾਮ ਵਿਖੇ 10 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਤੋਂ 15 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਹੋਏ ਸਟੇਟ ਪਧਰੀ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਤਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਪੀਜੀਡੀਸੀਏ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਤਾਂਬੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ, ਭਾਗ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਨ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਸਿਮਰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਬੀਏ ਭਾਗ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ 71 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਭਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ , ਦੀਕਸ਼ਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਐਮਏ ਪੋਲੀਟੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਨ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਤਾ ਪੀਜੀਡੀਸੀਏ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਨ ਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਅਫਜਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਸ੍ਰ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਧਾਮੀ , ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ,ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਅਧੀਨ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਬੁਲੰਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ , ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ,ਕੋਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ 13 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਤੋਂ 16 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2023 ਤੱਕ ਗੁਰੂਸਰ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅੰਤਰ ਕਾਲਜ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ੍ ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ , ਅਤੇ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਿਹਤਰੀਨ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਪਰਡੈਂਟ ਸ੍ਰ ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ੍ਰ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ ਨੀਰੂ ਗਰਗ, ਡਾ੍ ਕਮਲ ਰਾਏ , ਪ੍ਰੋ ਹਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ੍ ਮੰਜੂ ਸੱਦੀ ,ਪ੍ਰੋ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ,ਪ੍ਰੋ ਵਰਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਚ ਰਮੇਸ਼ ਚੰਦ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।

ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਅਧੀਨ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਜੀ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਟਾਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਤਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਨਾਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੇ । ਇਹ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ 14,15,16 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2023 ਨੂੰ ਕਰਵਾਈਆ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ । ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਬੀ. ਸੀ.ਏ ਸਾਲ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਪ੍ਰਭਕਿਰਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਗੱਤਕਾ ਟੀਮ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ( ਗੋਲ਼ਡ ਮੈਡਲ ) ਤੇ ਬੀ.ਸੀ. ਏ ਸਾਲ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਅਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਗੱਤਕਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ( ਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ । ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾਂ ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ , ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ।

ਸ਼ੋ੍ਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮਿ੍ਤਸਰ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਖਾਲ਼ਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਿ੍ੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਅੰਮਿ੍ਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਦੋ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਟੂਰ ਲਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀੇ ਤੇ ਐੱਨ ਐੱਸ ਐੱਸ ਵਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਮੰਜੂ ਸੱਦੀ, ਲੈਕਚਰਾਰ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਸ. ਹਰਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਟੂਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਘਾ ਬਾਰਡਰ, ਜਲਿਆਂਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਗ਼, ਪਾਰਟੀਸ਼ਨ ਮਿਊਜ਼ੀਅਮ, ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਬਕਾਲਾ ਜੀ, ਅਲਫ਼ਾ ਮਾਲ, ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੰਗਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਕਰਤਾਰਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਵੇਲੀ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਟੂਰ ਦਾ ਖੂਬ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪਿ੍ੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਟੂਰ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਲਈ ਪੇ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

*Celebration of "World Mental Health Day"*

*by department of Zoology, Red Ribbon Club and NSS unit of Mata Ganga Khalsa College on 10th October 2023*

Department of Zoology in association with Red Ribbon club and NSS unit of Mata Ganga Khalsa College organised a medical camp at dispensary of Gurdwara Shri Manji Sahib Kottan to mark the" World Mental Health Day" on 10th October 2023. Students of medical sciences, members of Red ribbon club and NSS unit along with their teacher incharges Dr.Amrit Kaur Bansal, Professor Neeru Garg, Dr Manju Saddi ,Professor Gurvinder Kaur and Professor Pawanjeet Kaur participated in this camp. Dr Prabhjot Kaur awared the students and teacher about mental health and various diseases related to brain & heart like hypertension low / high BP, low / high HB count etc. Blood pressure and HB count of all the students and teachers have been checked by Dr Prabhjot Kaur and also medicines are given to them. College Principal Dr.Gagan Deep Singh Ji appreciated the students and staff, and motivated them to organised such camps in future too.

ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਅਧੀਨ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਜੀ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਟਾਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੀਰੀ ਪੀਰੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਨਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਛੋਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਿੰਮਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਘੁਡਾਣੀ ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਧਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ ਜੱਥੇਦਾਰ ਰਘਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਹਾਰਨਮਾਜਰਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ SGPC ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਅੰਤਰ ਸਕੂਲ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਨੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਕਵੀਸ਼ਰੀ ਲੈਕਚਰ ਢਾਡੀ ਵਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਕੰਠ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ। ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਤੋਂ ਚਾਲੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਇਸਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਏ ।ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਬਾਰਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਲੈਕਚਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਇਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ । ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਡਲ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਪੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ।

ਸ੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਅਧੀਨ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਟਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਮਵਰ ਸ਼ਾਇਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ 20 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ “ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਵਿ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਯੋਗਤਾ” ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਪੋ੍ਰਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਭੱਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ,ਰਚਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ “ਜੱਟੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ” ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਯੋਗਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ- ਵੱਖ ਜਮਾਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਿਸ਼ਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ ਗਿਆਰਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਕਸਦ ਵਿਿਦਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਤ,ਸਾਹਿਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਲਾਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਚੇਤਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ। ਪਹਿਲੇ,ਦੁਸਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਵਿਿਦਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਨਾਮ ਵੰਡ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਟੀਕਲ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ, ਵਸਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆ। ਸਮੁਚੇ ਪੋ੍ਰਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਡਾ. ਰੂਪਾ ਕੌਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਲੌਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁਭਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।

ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਧਾਮੀ ਦੀ ਯੋਗ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਅਧੀਨ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੈਡ ਰਿਬਨ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੇ ਖਾਤਮੇ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ "ਹਰ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਵਾਰ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਤੇ ਵਾਰ" ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਿਤੀ 6 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2023 ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਚਰਚਾ ਤੇ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਹੈਲਥ ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਦੇ ਐਸਐਮਓ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਹਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੈਲਥ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਦਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸੀਐਚ ਓ ਸਿਮਰਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਦਿਲਬਹਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਗਰਗ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਹੋਏ। ਇਸ ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਤੇ ਚਿਕਨ ਗੁੰਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕੋਪ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਤੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਚ ਸਫਾਈ ਦੇ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ,ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਇਲਾਜ ਤੇ ਪਰਹੇਜ਼ ਦੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਲਈ ਰੈਡ ਰਿਬਨ ਕਲੱਬ ਤੇ ਆਏ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

The Postgraduate Department of Commerce & Economics and Department of English organised competitions of Painting, Cartooning, Poster & Collage making and Best out of Waste on 05 October, 2023 with the aim to include college students participation and to bring out the creative expression of students and gauge their knowledge and awareness about the contemporary world. Themes for the artwork were Artificial intelligence, Environment and climate change, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Olympic Games.

Around 30 students participated in the competition with immense zeal and enthusiasm and showcased their artistic skills through beautiful paintings and posters.

The final judgment of the competition was made by Dr. Gagandeep Singh (Principal), Prof. Baljeet Kaur (Head of political Science Department) and Dr. Amrit Bansal ( Head of Zoology Department).

Kirandeep Kaur (BA-III) bagged the first position, Mehakpreet Kaur (B.Com-III) second position and third position was secured by Komalpreet Kaur (B.Com-I) under the theme of "Artifical Intelligence".

Further, Haryawal Kaur (B.Com-I) secured first position, Kamaljit Kaur ( B.Com-III) second position and Jyoti (+1 Commerce) attained third position for the category of "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan".

Diksha (B.Com-II) bagged the first position and Arshdeep Kaur (B.Com-III) won second position under the category of "Aatmanirbhar Bharat".

Principal, Dr. Gagandeep Singh congratulated and appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and overwhelming response.

Post Graduate Departments of Punjabi, English and Commerce on 05 October, 2023 organised a lecture on the book "Rich Dad and Poor Dad" which is written by Robert T kiyosaki. The keynote speaker of this lecture was Assistant Professor of the college, Dr. Roopa Kaur (Department of Punjabi) who emphasised the importance of financial literacy which according to her is an integral part of our lives. Dr. Roopa Kaur described her personal experience too to the students that how this book shaped her thinking about finance citing that financial IQ is as important as emotional IQ. Financial literacy is not confined to people in the field of finance but it's for people from every walk of life. Everyone should have a basic understanding of how money should be utilised or invested. This is what this book teaches us. Principal, Gagandeep Singh, congratulated the keynote speaker and lauded the efforts of the present faculty members and students for such an inspiring event. He also talked about the importance of the habit of reading books.

Participation of Assistant professor of Zoology in specialised training course in cultivation of winter varieties of Mushroom at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Ludhiana

Dr. Amrit Kaur Bansal, Assistant Professor (Zoology) of Mata Ganga Khalsa College Manji Sahib Kottan participated in five days specialised training course organised by Skill Development Centre, Directorate of Extension , Education, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana from 25th to 29th September, 2023.The training is based on ,"Cultivation of Winter Varities of Mushroom".In this training, participants are made aware about the various types of mushrooms, varieties of mushrooms grown in different districts of Punjab.Hands on training is given about cultivation of Button mushroom and Dhingri mushroom.Processing of mushroom , like making pickles, steeping powder, canning of mushroom has also been demonstrated during this training program.Dr.Bansal got certificate for this training from higher authorities of PAU, Ludhiana.

ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਧਾਮੀ ਦੀ ਯੋਗ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਅਧੀਨ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਮ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਮਿਤੀ 29 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2023 ਨੂੰ 'ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਨਿਊਟਰੀਸ਼ਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ 'ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ"ਹੈਲਦੀ ਬ੍ਰੇਕਫਾਸਟ "ਕੰਪੀਟੀਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਨੀਰੂ ਗਰਗ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੁਲਦਸਤਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਜੀ ਆਇਆ ਕਿਹਾ।ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਵੀਹ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਸ਼ਟਿਕ ਤੇ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਨਾਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਨ ਸੁੰਵਨੀਆ ਡਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੜੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਜਿਕਰ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ "ਨਿਊਟਰੀਸ਼ਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਥੀਮ "ਸੁਪੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਭਾਰਤ ,ਸ਼ਾਕਸ਼ਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੇ ਸਸ਼ਕਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੋਟੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੁਟਕੀ,ਕੰਗਣੀ,ਜਵਾਰ,ਬਾਜਰਾ ਆਦਿ ਨਾਲ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਪਕਵਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਰਜਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਏ ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਨ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਾਓ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।ਤਿੰਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਦਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਮਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਪਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹੇ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ,ਸਿਮਰਨ ਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਰੂਪਾ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਅਗਮਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਖੂਬੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਉਚੇਚੇ ਜਤਨ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਪਕਵਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਅਫਜਾਈ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

One day "printing techniques" workshop has been organised by Home science and fashion designing department of Mata Ganga Khalsa college, kottan on 28 September, 2023 at 10 am where in prof. Chandana (fashion designing) of Govt. Home science college, Chandigarh acted as resource person and demonstrated various techniques of fabric printing like Block printing, stencil printing and screen printing . She taught the students how to make blocks, stencils and screens at home in a cost effective way and create beautiful articles like suits, dupatta, Tops, T-shirts, bed covers, pillows, cushion covers, runners, napkins, mats etc. 33 students of Home science and fashion designing department participated in the workshop and thoroughly enjoyed the learning process. Principal Dr. Gagandeep Singh appreciated the efforts and motivated the staff and students to conduct more such skill oriented workshops

Home science and fashion designing departments of MGKC, Kottan organized an industrial visit of students to sobhagia sales pvt Ltd.,a unit of sportking, Sahnewal khurd, Ludhiana,wherein a group of 24 students along with prof.Neeru Garg and prof.Gurinder kaur visited the industry.The company designs and manufactures apparels.It deals in men's wear, women's wear and kids wear. Mr.jugraj Singh, senior executive (HR) explained the process of machine knitting to the students in a very simple manner. He demonstrated all the equipments and machinary used in construction precisely. Students visited various departments related to apparel manufacturing like pattern making, layering and cutting, printing, embroidery, patch work,stitching, finishing, packing and dispatching and learn the whole process with great interest. A special vote of thanks to Mr. Jugraj singh, who got all the necessary arrangements done for the visit.. Principal of college, Dr. Gagandeep singh, motivated the students for more such field visits for better practical exposure.
