The Postgraduate Department of Commerce & Economics and Department of English organised competitions of Painting, Cartooning, Poster & Collage making and Best out of Waste on 05 October, 2023 with the aim to include college students participation and to bring out the creative expression of students and gauge their knowledge and awareness about the contemporary world. Themes for the artwork were Artificial intelligence, Environment and climate change, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Olympic Games.
Around 30 students participated in the competition with immense zeal and enthusiasm and showcased their artistic skills through beautiful paintings and posters.
The final judgment of the competition was made by Dr. Gagandeep Singh (Principal), Prof. Baljeet Kaur (Head of political Science Department) and Dr. Amrit Bansal ( Head of Zoology Department).
Kirandeep Kaur (BA-III) bagged the first position, Mehakpreet Kaur (B.Com-III) second position and third position was secured by Komalpreet Kaur (B.Com-I) under the theme of "Artifical Intelligence".
Further, Haryawal Kaur (B.Com-I) secured first position, Kamaljit Kaur ( B.Com-III) second position and Jyoti (+1 Commerce) attained third position for the category of "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan".
Diksha (B.Com-II) bagged the first position and Arshdeep Kaur (B.Com-III) won second position under the category of "Aatmanirbhar Bharat".
Principal, Dr. Gagandeep Singh congratulated and appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and overwhelming response.
